(G. Bouziani 27–31, Dafni, Agios Ioannis metro station)
The 5th Primary School of Dafni “Georgios Bouzianis” and the 1st Directorate of Primary Education of Athens (Environmental Education & Cultural Affairs Offices), in collaboration with the Culture and Sports Organisation of the Municipality of Dafni-Ymittos and the Museum of Greek Children’s Art, present the painting and printmaking exhibition “Appetite comes with painting” at the Bouzianis Museum.
The exhibition will show works by the school’s pupils on the theme of food, nutrition, and the places where food is eaten and produced. Last school year the pupils worked with their teachers on the WWF programme “Healthy Children, Healthy Planet”; this year they went on to create paintings under the guidance of Ms Athanasia Sklirou (curator at the Museum of Greek Children’s Art).
The exhibition will also present works by 29 established artists inspired by our theme. The artists are generously donating these works to our school’s art collection, to inspire our young pupils.
