PS: An Exhibition for Eroticism

“Love is a political act” Manos Hadjidakis

Orizontas Gegonoton, in collaboration with the Eos art space, invites you on Friday 22/1 and Saturday 23/1/16 to Orizontas (Kerameikou 88), at 20:00, for the opening of a group exhibition of visual art on the theme of Original Allure, and on Monday 25/1 to the Eos Art Gallery (Heyden 38).

The exhibition will run concurrently at both venues until 14/2/2016.

Eroticism is perhaps the only “-ism” that poses no threat to us. All the others (including “se-ism”, “catacl-ysm” and so on), whether they relate to politics, the economy or religion, are usually toxic. In place of life they put violence, and in place of procreative cooperation, the competitive struggle for survival.

We can see the result all around us… The newly founded “Ministry of Innocence” is out to discover the “PS” that accompanies existence, the reproduction of life and the production of aesthetic values, or tries, through this exhibition, to bring back the Nietzschean question of whether, in the end, “Beauty will save* the World” ….. (…..or, according to others, Love….) *(In the sense of clicking “save”, at least.)
