Land Art Cinema Project

Because Orizontas never rests

The major project “Earth – Works” is under way and from 28 to 30 August will be on Syros, with the earth and its materials as its central idea.

“EARTH_Works (Land_Art)” is a free-form art intervention in a coastal landscape on the island of Syros. The site was chosen for its value as a place of authentic Cycladic natural beauty and for the form of its terrain, a seaside landscape untouched by human intervention.

The aim is to create ephemeral works, made on site with respect for nature and the landscape. The works range across land art, sculpture, constructions, installation – site-specific art and performance.

The artists will use mixed media (such as natural and artificial lighting, sound, video, photography, etc.) as well as the natural materials found scattered around the site.
